A critical look at tech and business issues. Financial housekeeping FTC Web site has tips for preventing identity theftSyndicated Columnist Despite plenty of media horror stories, most consumers don't take significant steps to protect themselves from identity theft until they lose their wallet, see a strange credit-card charge or find something ugly on their credit report.
