Roundup: Nowitzki leads Germany past Brazil; Parker spurs France past Greece

NANJING, China (AP) — Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 points to lead Germany to a 76-75 win Saturday over Brazil in a FIBA World Championship warmup. Nowitzki added 16 rebounds.

Cleveland Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao had 25 points for Brazil.

In the earlier game, Tony Parker led France back from a first-half deficit to down European champions Greece 72-68. The San Antonio Spurs guard had six points and three assists.

In Singapore, Spain defeated defending world champion Serbia & Montenegro 80-65. Argentina, the 2004 Athens gold medalists, beat Slovenia 94-72.

In Seoul, Turkey upset Italy 69-64 and Lithuania edged South Korea 83-81 in another warmup to the World Championships that start Aug. 19 in Japan.
